What we would never copy from social media
Written by Douae Elle · September 30, 2026

Social media is a great source of inspiration. But some trends do more harm than good. Here are the ones we'll never follow, and why.
Trend #1: copying someone else's face
"I want her lips." "I want her jawline." "I want her face." We hear it often, and we get it! But every face has its own structure and balance. Lips that are perfect on one person can look out of proportion on another, depending on the chin, the nose, the width of the face.
An inspiration photo is still useful at consultation: it helps us understand what you like (more definition? a more hydrated look?). But our job is to translate that for your face, not to copy it. Read: why the best lip filler is personalized.
Trend #2: chasing viral treatments
A treatment goes viral because it's spectacular on screen, not because it suits you. A trend can be:
- Unsuitable for your skin or anatomy
- Driven by marketing, not by assessment
- Medically unnecessary, or even risky
Trend #3: filters as the goal
Filters erase pores, shadows and texture. No real skin looks like that, and no treatment can reproduce it. Aiming for a filter guarantees disappointment. We aim for healthy, glowing skin with texture: real skin.
Trend #4: "more is better"
One more syringe, a few more units… Stacking leads to the "overdone" look. We'd rather do less, follow up and adjust.
Our philosophy
Real aesthetics isn't imitation, it's interpretation. We start from your face, your proportions and your goals, and build a plan that looks like you.
