Myriade: why we chose a Quebec skincare brand, and why your home routine matters as much as the clinic

A clinic treatment is a few hours a year. Your home routine is twice a day, every day. It's what prepares your skin before a treatment, protects the results after, and makes the difference in the long run.

Why professional-quality skincare?

People often say "medical-grade" skincare. To be clear: that term isn't an official category in Canada. What really matters is what's in the bottle:

  • Proven active ingredients like vitamin C or retinol, in concentrations and formulas designed to work
  • Products chosen by professionals who know your skin and your treatments, rather than a random drugstore pick
  • A coherent routine: products that work together, instead of ten products from different brands irritating each other

And above all, advice. We tell you what to use, when to stop it before a treatment and when to start again.

Why Myriade

We chose Myriade, a Quebec brand, because we love supporting what's made here and because the line is simple, clear and complete. In clinic you'll find:

  • The Daily line: *The Cleanser*, *The Soothing Gel* and *The Protective Fluid*, the base of any routine
  • The Purifying line: *The Charcoal Purifier*, for combination to oily skin
  • The Brightening line: *The C Serum*, *The C-Retinol* and *The C Eye Contour*, for glow and even tone

A simple routine that works

  • Morning: cleanse, apply a vitamin C serum for glow, then protect. And never skip sunscreen, even in winter.
  • Evening: cleanse, then use a retinol product a few nights a week at first, while your skin adjusts.
  • As needed: a soothing gel after a treatment or when skin is irritated.

A few precautions: retinol is usually paused a few days before and after a peel, microneedling or Morpheus8, and it's not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We'll guide you based on your treatments. Also read what not to do after your treatments.
