Wedding skin prep in Montréal: the timeline for the bride and groom
Written by Douae Elle · October 8, 2026

You said yes, the venue is booked and the guest list keeps growing. But what about your skin? To arrive on the big day with a glowing, rested and natural look, the secret isn't a miracle treatment the night before: it's a plan. Ideally, you start 6 to 12 months before the wedding, for the bride and the groom alike. Here's how we do it at Clinique Éclat Aven, depending on the season of your Montréal wedding, with a month-by-month timeline.

Why plan 6 to 12 months ahead
Skin takes time to change. The collagen stimulated by Morpheus8 radiofrequency or microneedling builds over 3 to 6 months. Fillers need a few weeks for swelling to settle. Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport) reach their full effect in about two weeks. The earlier you start, the more we can space out sessions, do a touch-up if needed and avoid last-minute stress.
Everything starts with a free consultation. Our nurse assesses your skin, your goals and your medical history, then builds a plan around your date. Doses, treatments and your eligibility are always confirmed after this assessment. Results vary from person to person and no result is guaranteed.
Winter wedding in Montréal
Quebec winters are hard on the skin: cold, dry air outside, indoor heating inside, a dull complexion and sometimes redness or flaky patches. The good news? UV exposure is low, which makes it an excellent season for treatments that require avoiding the sun.
- The fall before is ideal for Morpheus8 radiofrequency (offered in Boisbriand), peels and microneedling: less UV, easier recovery.
- Focus on hydration: skin boosters and our mesotherapy cocktail bring radiance back to skin dehydrated by the cold.
- At home: a richer cream, a humidifier in the bedroom and sunscreen even in January (snow reflects UV).
Summer wedding in Montréal
Heat, humidity, photos in full sun, dancing into the early hours: in summer, the enemies are sweat and sun.

- Underarm sweating treatment: a few neuromodulator injections can reduce underarm sweat for several months. Ideal with a light-coloured dress or suit. Do it 4 to 6 weeks before.
- Daily sun protection, a hat and shade: a sunburn the week of the wedding is hard to hide.
- Avoid strong peels and energy-based treatments close to the date or after sun exposure: tanned or irritated skin reacts more and the risk of dark spots increases.
- Book resurfacing in winter or spring: that's the right time for Morpheus8 radiofrequency, microneedling and peels, well before the hot season.
What about fall or spring?
These are the easiest seasons. For a fall wedding, do your energy-based treatments in late winter or spring, then protect your skin all summer. For a spring wedding, the winter before gives you all the time you need for resurfacing, away from the sun.
The month-by-month timeline
Here is the timeline we recommend, for the bride and for the groom. It adapts to your skin, your budget and the time you have left.
12 to 6 months before
- Bride: consultation and plan. A series of Morpheus8 radiofrequency for texture, pores and firmness; Sculptra to restore volume gradually; hair PRP if your hair is thinning. The last energy-based session is done at least 6 weeks before the wedding.
- Groom: consultation and plan. Morpheus8 radiofrequency for texture and acne scars, EvolveX for the abdomen or flanks (Boisbriand), hair PRP if needed.
4 to 3 months before
- Bride: microneedling with or without exosomes, skin boosters, VAMP. If you've never had filler, now is the time for a first trial.
- Groom: microneedling for radiance and pores, a first filler trial if you're considering the jaw or chin.
2 months before
- Bride: fillers (lips, chin, cheeks). This gives swelling and bruising time to fade, and leaves room for a touch-up.
- Groom: jaw or chin filler for a more defined line, always with a natural, masculine result.
6 to 4 weeks before
- Both: neuromodulators for the forehead, crow's feet or frown lines. Full effect arrives at about two weeks, leaving time for a touch-up. Underarm sweating treatment is optional.
- Groom: if you grind your teeth, masseter treatment can also slim the jaw, but it's best started earlier.
2 weeks before
- Bride: a last light (brightening) peel for an even complexion.
- Groom: a last light (purifying) peel for pores and blemishes.
- Both: no new products are added to your routine from now on.
The final week
No new treatments. Hydration, sleep, little alcohol and salt, sunscreen every day. It's also the week of the glow check included in our Duo packages.
The day itself
Clean, hydrated skin, sunscreen under makeup, water throughout the day and a travel-size cream for touch-ups. The rest is the work of the months before.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trying a new filler one week before: swelling and bruising may still be visible.
- Getting your first Botox three days before: the effect isn't complete yet and there's no time for a touch-up.
- A strong peel the week of the wedding: redness and peeling guaranteed.
- New skincare products in the last two weeks: risk of irritation or a reaction.
- A tan or sunburn right before: skin becomes more sensitive and uneven.
- Leaving everything to the last minute: your skin needs time, and so do you.
The wedding party can glow too
Bridesmaids, groomsmen, mothers of the couple: a group appointment is a lovely way to get ready together. During a private Glow Night at the clinic, each guest receives a brightening peel. For those who also want to soften a few lines, the Glow + Botox package combines neuromodulators and a peel.

FAQ
How long before the wedding should I get Botox?
Ideally 4 to 6 weeks before. The full effect appears at about two weeks, which leaves time for a touch-up if needed.
Can the groom get treatments too?
Absolutely. More and more men get Botox, a purifying peel or jaw filler before their wedding. Our goal: a rested, masculine result, never frozen.
When should I get lip filler?
About 2 months before. If it's your first time, a trial 3 to 4 months before is even better.
My wedding is in a month. Is it too late?
No. Neuromodulators and a light peel are still possible, as in the L'Essentiel and Le Classique packages. We'll simply avoid treatments that need a longer recovery.
Is Morpheus8 radiofrequency offered at every clinic?
No, only in Boisbriand, like EvolveX. The other package treatments are offered in all four clinics.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Every skin reacts differently. Your plan, doses and eligibility are confirmed by the nurse after a medical assessment.
